Specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence and LGBTQ+ issues

Meghan Umansky

I believe everyone has the capacity to change and grow, to heal from past trauma and to rebuild their relationship with themselves. My approach is relational, client-centered, affirming and non stigmatizing, with a focus on mind-body integration.

I also draw from humanistic and psychodynamic modalities to cater the treatment plan to every individual I work with. I provide a safe, non judge-mental space for adults, children and adolescents to authentically work through wherever they may be in the present moment.

I welcome all genders, sexualities, and ethnicities to begin their healing journey.

What Should a New Client Know About Working With Me?

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and relational with a focus on spirit-mind-body integration. I use a combination of interventions, depending on the client’s needs, from cognitive restructuring, acceptance of difficult emotions, internal family systems parts work, and nervous system regulation.

My goal is to help each individual I work with develop self compassion and understanding towards the symptoms they experience, in order to build more supportive and healing relationships with themselves.
