Professional Statement

I am a certified Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed to practice in Texas. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University in Washington and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from a Ukrainian university. Additionally, I have a certificate from the European Gestalt Institute.

My personal therapy journey began ten years ago when I was grappling with postpartum anxiety and depression as a new mother and wife. This challenging period made me realize the profound impact of psychotherapy. It became my safe space amid constant worries and stresses, helping me understand that well-functioning relationships could be a source of healing. This realization inspired me to help others overcome their challenges and achieve well-being.

As a first-generation immigrant, I am particularly keen to work with individuals who, like me, have had to build or rebuild their lives from scratch. I understand the unique challenges and strengths required to move forward, and I am passionate about assisting these individuals on their journey to well-being and success.

What Should a New Client Know About Working With You?

In my sessions, I create a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental atmosphere where clients feel safe to explore their deepest concerns. My clients often praise my calm demeanor and positivity, noting that I radiate confidence and inner peace.

I particularly enjoy working with couples and families, using various therapeutic approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Gottman Method, and Gestalt therapy. Gestalt therapy helps individuals understand their feelings and needs in the present moment, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and clarify their desires and needs. IFS therapy allows us to explore repressed parts of one’s personality, facilitating trauma healing and a full range of emotional experiences. EFT addresses relationship issues such as attachment, connection, and trust problems, while the Gottman Method offers a coaching-oriented approach with proven effectiveness supported by evidence-based data.

What is Your Typical Process for Working with Clients?

During the initial consultation, I observe the dynamics and select the most appropriate method of systemic family psychotherapy for each unique situation. I believe in each individual’s inner capacity for growth and healing. Each client receives a tailored therapy plan that meets their specific needs. Together, we will work to uncover the root causes of distress, develop effective coping strategies, and empower you to create a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Let’s work together to create meaningful and lasting change in your life. Contact me today to schedule an appointment and take the first step towards a brighter future.
